Opening Pages

Ask the Editor

The questions that come with a first manuscript, answered the way an editor answers a nervous author: promptly, and in the margin.

Must I start a volume before I write?

No. Say that you are an adult, pull a spine and write. Readers without a pass have 10 messages, and the manuscript moves with you if you start a volume later.

What does Write on do?

It opens her chat with the opening page already set down as page one, and she carries it forward. That spends one message. Prefer her everyday opening? The button on her jacket gives it.

Advance copy, paperback and subscription?

A new volume comes with 3 days of every author. Then the paperback: 10 paragraphs a day, the day ending at midnight UTC, against the first 3 authors you wrote with. A subscription lifts that; a $15 issue lasts 30 days and a $99 issue lasts 365. The print run shows where you stand.

How do I pay the printer?

Send USDT along TRON (TRC-20). The printer names a wallet and an exact sum; transfer that sum and your subscription begins about a minute after it clears. Nothing reprints itself. Paid is paid, as the author agreement states.

Will she open a chapter without me?

On the advance copy and on a subscription she might, once you have been gone for some time, though never in the depths of her own night. The switch lives in your study.

What does she remember?

The plot, the voice and her notes on you. The chat's menu shows them, and each line can be rewritten or struck out. Whatever you place under About you in your study reaches all sixteen authors before your first paragraph.

How far does a love scene go?

Every manuscript carries a pace, chosen in its menu: friendly, flirting or romance. A novelist may want you and may say so. The chapter closes before anything explicit, on every plan.

Can I read the book afterwards?

Yes. The chat's menu lets you copy the whole manuscript. It stays in your history until you clear it.

How do I close the book?

Clear a chat from its menu to end that manuscript. For the whole account, write to the editor from the address you registered with.
